My name is Dean Harries and I'm 25 years old. I have been writing since I was 17 and have recently graduated from university. I love writing fiction, memoirs, poetry and essays. I write a lot of critical theory so I'm influenced by people who mix essay style writing with fiction. E.g. Byatt and Nafisi. I love postmodernist writing and black humour. My favourite writers are Self, Bukowski, Thompson and Palahniuk and Chbosky. To be honest, this seems to change with every new author I encounter. The real writer is the reader.
