I didn't know that you also are writing in English. That's super.
This poem has a wonderful touch of victory over the dark side of life.

Dear Irene, thank you. This is a very personal poem from a period when I was writing almost every poem in english. I had a band way back then and at that time I felt, that german lyrics would be uncool, just as the band Tocotronic sang: "Über Sex kann man nur auf Englisch singen." It was easier to express myself in a foreign language, it gave me the courage to write quite personal.
