In Her Absence!

What if the world were shaped by a goddess instead of a god? In a landscape where might and mercy intersect, this thought-provoking poem tries to explore how power, justice, and humanity might evolve in a universe guided by feminine divinity. Delve into verses that question the origins of violence, the nature of strength, and whether the seeds of change lie in the hands of mothers—or in something more elusive. Where does creation truly begin, and what is lost in Her absence?

Would warlords find their hunger sated still,
Or tempers stilled, their battles fought with care?
Would mercy bend the edges of our will,
Or might fierce love hold justice in its glare?

If birth and death were woven in Her hand,
Would blood still soak the soil to claim the earth?
Would power crave to own, to seize, command,
Or would it guard each spark of humble worth?

The tongues of nations speak of gods as kings,
Yet mothers' hearts have cradled every child.
If She had shaped the course of all these things,
Would wrath be praised, or tenderness reviled?

Perhaps the world would dance to softer hymns,
Where strength lies not in force, but quiet fire.
Where hands that heal are held as sacred limbs,
And men learn more than conquest, more than ire.

But still we wonder, questioning the source—
The truth obscured, unbound by creed or pen.
What shapes the world? The womb or sword’s course?
Or is the war within the hearts of men?
