Don't struggle in vain
..
It no longer upsets me
because the world is big
I will just move on
far away from what
what I can't change
I will leave behind
what I have laboured over in vain
wasted my life
struggled for nothing
I walk away from what
what keeps me down
what does not respect me
and I can't accept
I will disappear from that
what does not accept me as I am
and I don't want to accept it
I want to move away
away from that
what does not love me
what I do not love
I have to move on
because I will not stay there
where I wither away
where every day I become less alive
I will set out
and I will never look back
I only look forward
Step by step
further and further
to the strip of light on the horizon
towards my dreams
Es regt mich nicht mehr auf
denn die Welt ist groß
ich werde einfach weiterziehen
weit weg von dem
was ich nicht ändern kann
werde zurücklassen
woran ich mich vergeblich abmühte
meine Lebenszeit verschwendete
mich abkämpfte, für Nichts
ich gehe weg von dem
was mich am Boden hält
was mich nicht respektiert
und ich nicht akzeptieren kann
verschwinden werde ich von dem
was mich nicht annimmt wie ich bin
und ich so nicht annehmen will
ich will mich davon bewegen
fort von dem
was mich nicht liebt
was ich nicht liebe
ich muss weitergehen
denn ich werde dort nicht bleiben
wo ich verkümmere
wo ich jeden Tag unlebendiger werde
ich werde aufbrechen
und werde nie zurückschauen
ich blicke nur nach vorne
Schritt für Schritt
immer weiter, immer weiter
zu dem Lichtstreifen am Horizont
meinen Träumen entgegen
