"O God of the Galaxies..."

Our universe alone is beyond comprehension...
And we suspect that there are billions more.
Yet the Bible says not a single word about them.

O God of one hundred billion galaxies...
How deeply we would long to kneel before You—
but where are You?

Trillions upon trillions of suns...
They fill the cosmos with light,
yet not with joy alone.

Quadrillions of planets...
Perhaps countless forms of life
have arisen upon them—
and only a tiny fraction
has ever heard Your name.
Was this Your intention?

Quadrillions upon quadrillions
of planets and moons...
Home to animals beyond imagination.
Are they, perhaps,
Your first concern?

Or are there, out there,
countless thinking civilizations,
for whom humanity
is merely one species
among many?

Perhaps
the Earth was never
the center of Your creation...
Perhaps
it is only
a tiny speck of stardust
within Your infinite universe.
