Notes in a Diary
 

 
Each trip through my country
is a journey with you.
I try to see
all the familiar things in the vicinity 
with your eyes too.
 
 
In my thoughts I point out to you
village and wood.
I want to shout:
look at that stream and this tower proud
in my neighbourhood.
 
 
Explaining to you a name
or telling a story
I feel I came
with you in mind to see the same
old things in new glory.
 
 
Feeling joy in my heart 
I understand better
 a work of art.
Could you really come and could I start
to show – not to describe in a letter.

Mit einer Portion Ironie, aber auch mit Mitgefühl für die Unglücklichen, Verzauberten wird erzählt.
