I remember hanging out in the quiet courtyard.
I remember the excitement of seeing the text message.
I remember seeing her black hair and big nose.
I remember being able to hold her in my arms.
I remember her sister’s giddiness to being a big sister.
But now she is four years old.
But now she has beautiful, long, blonde hair.
But now the baby-excitement has faded.
I am glad that I have such lovely cousins to share experiences with.
But I am sad that I cannot see them as often as I wish.
I remember the day all too well, when we first welcomed her into our family.
